We take legends as examples and strive to emulate their steps, while their names become synonym of virtuosity or expertise for large masses of people, even whole societies.
The belief ain oneself is so powerful that it leads to what no one thought possible. Human limits are overcome and the bar is set higher. That’s when a legend is created. We respect those who achieve distinction, admire the ones who become stars, and worship the very few who rise to god-like transcendence. That’s also called immortality.
